The Western Canada Power Exchange (WCPE) Contest is a hallmark event designed to celebrate and showcase the dynamics, skills, and dedication involved in power exchange relationships.

Hosted as part of the Kink Compass Conference by K-E-A-N Canada Events, this contest provides a platform for participants to demonstrate their unique expressions of connection, communication, and creativity in the context of consensual power exchange. The event fosters education, community engagement, and the celebration of diverse relationship dynamics within the kink and BDSM communities.

Contestants Applications Open until July 17, 2026 @ 5PM (MST)

Contestants should:

• Have been actively engaged in a power exchange dynamic for at least one year.

• Apply as an individual, pair, or group of up to three people who are part of the same power exchange dynamic.

• Be enthusiastic about sharing their power exchange dynamic with the community.

• Be prepared to participate in scheduled rehearsals, interviews, presentations, and contest activities.

• Be ready to engage respectfully and collaboratively with judges, attendees, volunteers, and event organizers.

• Reside in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba.

• Be at least 21 years of age.

• Be eligible and willing to travel to the United States should they advance to the International Power Exchange Contest.

• Be comfortable speaking publicly and teaching others about their power exchange dynamic.

Contestants will be required to:

• Deliver an educational presentation about their dynamic. Presentations must be a minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 15 minutes in length.

• Present a Demo/Fantasy performance. This presentation may be a scene, demonstration, or creative performance and must be no longer than 4 minutes. Music is required and no speaking is permitted during the performance.

• Participate in a private interview with the judging panel for up to 20 minutes.

• Represent the values of consent, communication, respect, and community throughout the contest process.

    We are seeking knowledgeable, experienced, and community-minded individuals to serve on the judging panel for the Western Canada Power Exchange Contest.

    Judges should:

    • Have significant experience and knowledge of power exchange dynamics

    • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Be committed to fair, respectful, and thoughtful evaluation

    • Be able to assess contestants based on the contest criteria while remaining objective and professional

    • Support a positive and encouraging environment for contestants and attendees

    • Represent the values of consent, communication, respect, and community throughout the contest process

    We have chosen to use an open application process for all judges in the interest of transparency and fairness. Rather than selecting judges solely from our existing networks, we want qualified members of the community to have the opportunity to apply and be considered.

    Our goal is to create a judging panel that reflects a diverse range of experiences, perspectives, and expertise while maintaining the integrity and professionalism of the contest process.

      Educators Applications Open until July 10, 2026 at 5 PM (MST)

      Educators lead workshops, discussions, and skill-building sessions during the event, providing attendees with valuable knowledge about power exchange dynamics, communication, and other related topics.

      Responsibilities:

      • Prepare and deliver engaging educational sessions.

      • Create a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.

      • Answer attendee questions and provide resources for further learning.

      • Work with event organizers to align sessions with the event’s overall themes.

      Ideal Candidate:

      • Experienced in power exchange dynamics, negotiation, or related topics.

      • Comfortable speaking to groups and leading discussions.

      • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and participant needs.
