K-E-A-N Edmonton Kinky Connection Nights: Education! Power Exchange Beyond the Bedroom

Power exchange does not begin and end with scenes. For many dynamics, the deepest moments of connection happen in the quiet routines, rituals, acts of service, emotional accountability, and intentional structure that exist outside the bedroom.

Join us for an interactive discussion exploring how Dominants, submissives, switches, and service-oriented people build meaningful power exchange into everyday life in sustainable, connected, and consensual ways.

Together we will discuss:
• Rituals and routines
• Service and acts of care
• Emotional authority and accountability
• Communication and expectations
• Structure versus control
• Sustainability in long-term dynamics
• Real-life challenges in ongoing D/s relationships

Rather than a formal lecture, this class is designed to be interactive, open, and discussion-based, creating space for participants to learn from one another through shared experiences and practical conversation.

Whether you’re new to power exchange or have years of experience, this session offers an opportunity to reflect on your own dynamic, explore different approaches to D/s outside scenes, and strengthen your understanding of intentional connection and consensual structure.

This class is open to all experience levels. Participation is encouraged, but sharing is always optional. Bring your curiosity and an open mind.

Our Facilitators

Cheryl is the co-owner of K-E-A-N Canada Events and has spent years helping build kink community spaces, education, and connection-focused events across Alberta. She is passionate about creating environments where people can explore kink, relationships, communication, and personal growth in supportive and welcoming spaces.

Through K-E-A-N, Cheryl has helped facilitate educational classes, community discussions, conferences, social events, and power exchange spaces designed to support both new and experienced kinksters. She brings an open, practical, and community-focused approach to conversations around D/s, service, rituals, and sustainable connection both inside and outside scenes.

Outside of the kink community, Cheryl has extensive experience in leadership, event production, facilitation, and community building. She is known for creating spaces that encourage honest conversation, reflection, learning, and authentic connection.

Sunny is a service submissive and masochist who is owned and collared, with all play and sexual activities under the authority of her Master. She has been active in the kink community for two years and is passionate about learning, service dynamics, and intentional submission.

Her interests include impact play (both thuddy and stingy), wax, fire, electro, and sensory play. She is currently exploring rope and self-tying and enjoys ongoing growth and discovery within her kink journey.

Sunny brings a grounded, honest, and personal perspective through lived experience as a submissive and bottom. While this may be her first listing as a facilitator, she has previously assisted with classes and community discussions. She is committed to consent, community, and supporting others in exploring power exchange safely and authentically.

• This is an 18+ event. The bar will not be open, so non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are welcome.
