In the diverse and evolving world of kink, clear communication and mutual respect are fundamental to creating a safe and fulfilling experience. This workshop is designed to equip participants with essential skills for negotiating boundaries, ensuring consent, and fostering a connective kink environment. Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, attendees will learn how to navigate these critical aspects with confidence and sensitivity.
Objectives:
- Understand Consent: Define what constitutes consent in the context of kink and explore its importance in maintaining safe and respectful practices.
- Learn Negotiation Skills: Develop effective strategies for negotiating boundaries, desires, and limits with partners.
- Enhance Communication: Improve communication techniques to ensure clarity and mutual understanding.
- Address Power Dynamics: Recognize and manage power dynamics within kink relationships to promote equality and respect.
- Foster Inclusivity: Encourage an environment of inclusivity and respect for diverse experiences and identities within kink communities.
Target Audience:
This workshop is open to individuals of all experience levels within the kink community, from beginners to seasoned practitioners. It is also suitable for anyone interested in learning more about the principles of consent and negotiation as they apply to kink. Single and Couples are welcome. However you will have to move around in the workshop for negotiating exercises. We will manage the number of bottoms and tops as part of the registration process. To ensure a balanced event.
Format:
Highlights of the workshop include a confidential and respectful atmosphere where your privacy and comfort are our top priorities. The workshop will include presentations, group discussions, interactive exercises, and role-playing activities. Participants will be able to engage in hands-on practice and ask questions from facilitators. You will also receive a handout.

Each is knowledgeable and experienced and are dedicated to promoting safe, consensual, and respectful practices in kink. Each has also facilitated several events that consent was the cornerstone of the event. We bring to you the knowledge and tools for your personal growth in kink. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced player, our facilitators will provide guidance tailored to your skill level.

- Time: Doors open at 7:30 PM, please arrive as close to 7:30 PM as possible so we can start on time, you will need your ID and the event closes at 10 PM.
- Location: Join us at The Space on Whyte. , 9562 82 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6C 0Z8!
- **This space is located at the back of the building and has a small sign that says The Space on Whyte.** This location is NOT wheelchair accessible.

This event is for those over 18. We do have the right to refuse service or entry as per the registration. Illegal drug use is not permitted and those found to be using illegal drugs at K-E-A-N events will be removed and banned from future events. These tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to other K-E-A-N events. They can also not be transferred to another patron.
