Power Exchange Dynamics: When thing go sideways, how to move forward

Class Overview

So you’ve started your dynamic, you all are excited about what the future holds. The intimacy, the play, the rules and protocol. 

Nobody thinks that one’s dynamic will fail. There are many variables that could affect its outcome. Not if, but when the flow gets interrupted, having open communication, staying away from blaming, especially when it’s a difficult subject to talk about, is important for a more positive outcome. Personally and together, struggles could feel insurmountable.

Remember when it was mutually decided to be supportive? We don’t want to lose sight of the energy we felt when things were banging. You know your history, that turned into experience and now has become the new baseline for more of your journey to blossom. Making hard choices for the right reason adds to the richness of your dynamic. In this class, we’ll identify some of the potential pitfalls, how they can become a big looming elephant in your dynamic and most importantly how we can move forward from it, to continue with your dynamic with a new outlook and renewed appreciation of your journey.

I’m Frenchie, CuriousFrenchie on fetlife, He/Him. I’ve discovered the local community in 2008. With ongoing learning, and amazed of O/our blossoming D/s dynamic, also winner of the Western Canada Power Exchange Competition and participated in the International Power Exchange 2019.

About the Educator – IrradiantPhoenix 

I’m Phoenix, IrradiantPhoenix on fet. I use she/her pronouns. I’ve been in our community for about 8 years. Learning and experiencing many parts of BDSM. I have been in a power exchange dynamic for 7 years. Hosted a local group for number of years. Participated in the western power exchange competition in 2018 and won, went on to participate in the international competition. Honored to have been part of the judge’s panel last year for the Western Canada Power Exchange.

About the Educator – Together CuriousFrenchie and IrradiantPhoenix have been in the lifestyle for 16 and 8 years respectively. “Staying real” provides a solid foundation for Frenchie’s and Phoenix’s journey. They have been in a power exchange dynamic for 8 years learning and growing as individuals and as a couple. They participated in the Western Canada Power Exchange competition in 2018 and won, went on to participate in the international competition. They have facilitated classes in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Edmonton. For many years, both hosted a local group. Phoenix was honored to be part of the judge’s panel in last year’s Western Canada Power Exchange competition.
